BBG-SIU-OSI4
The BBG-SIU-OSI4-4 is a 3U 19-inch rack-mountable system that converts serial data into synchro signals for seamless data integration.
The BBG-SIU-OSI4-4 is a standalone system that interfaces between two serial data channels and four synchro output channels. Operating on 115V, 60Hz AC power and a 115V, 400Hz AC reference, the SIU converts serial inputs into high-power synchro outputs. It accepts Primary and Secondary RS-422 serial channels of NMEA-0183 data and outputs:
- One 2X, 90V, 400Hz, 25VA (Roll 2X)
- One 36X, 90V, 400Hz, 25VA (Roll 36X)
- One 2X, 90V, 400Hz, 25VA (Pitch 2X)
- One 36X, 90V, 400Hz, 25VA (Pitch 36X)
Custom inputs and outputs are available upon request.
Each output channel is fault-protected against overcurrent and overtemperature, with internal kick circuitry for enhanced control and protection. Synchro data formats, power outputs, and frequencies are factory-configured to meet user specifications.
Applications
The SIU is ideal for radar systems (antenna azimuth), navigation systems (gyrocompass, speed log, course, pitch, roll), industrial processes (position, velocity), and meteorology instruments (wind speed, direction).
