BBG-ACP/ARP+SIM
The BBG-ACP/ARP+SIM is a bulkhead-mount system that converts Synchro data to ACP/ARP, supporting both live and simulated modes.
The BBG-ACP/ARP+SIM is a bulkhead-mount system that converts Synchro data to ACP/ARP, supporting both live and simulated modes. It is designed for azimuth signal processing and operates on 115/230 VAC at 60/400Hz while supporting Synchro references of 60Hz or 400Hz at 115VAC. The unit receives a Synchro input and generates one ARP at the zero crossing, with configurable ACP outputs of either 4096 or 16384 pulses per 360-degree rotation. RS-422 drivers provide balanced ACP and ARP signal outputs.
Live & Simulated Modes
- Live Mode: Converts Synchro input to ACP and ARP signals.
- Simulated Mode: Generates ACP and ARP signals using an internal clock, with selectable pulse counts and adjustable rotation rates from 0 to 60 RPM.
Inputs & Outputs
Connections are available via DIN rail terminal blocks and BNC connectors.
Live Mode Outputs
- Azimuth Reference Pulse (ARP): Occurs once per radar antenna revolution, based on Synchro input.
- Azimuth Change Pulse (ACP): Configurable for 4096 or 16384 pulses per revolution.
Simulated Mode Outputs
- ARP: Occurs once per simulated revolution.
- ACP: Configurable for 4096 or 16384 pulses per revolution, with adjustable rotation rate via a front panel knob. The current simulated RPM is displayed on an LCD screen.
