BBG-SBA2
Serial
to Ethernet Adapter
Introduction

 |
 |
Description
The Synchro Booster Amplifier (SBA) is a stand-alone
system, which provides amplification of synchro
signals. The SBA series of amplifiers are designed
to be conduction cooled by mounting directly to the
chassis.
The SBA is
factory configurable to customer requirements for easy field
installation. Models available include 6.81V resolver, 11.8V
and 90V synchro at both 60 and 400 Hertz.
Features
Applications
-
Radar
Systems (antenna azimuth)
-
Navigation Systems (gyrocompass, speedlog, course,
pitch, and roll)
-
Industrial Processes (position, velocity)
-
Meteorology Instruments (wind speed and direction)

Overview
|
The BBG-SBA operates on 115
Volt, 60 Hz or 400 Hz AC reference power to convert low
power synchro or resolver inputs into high power synchro
outputs. Due to the pulsating power supply, the device
operates more efficiently allowing for smaller size. The SBA
is current limited and voltage protected against reference
and load short circuits and transients. Thermal protection
is provided for temperatures in excess of +125
°C. In
addition, the SBA provides Enable, BIT and Kick circuitry
for added control and protection.
